Welcome to Mollies World

1. What’s your name and tell us a little bit about yourself.

Smiles Official: Smiles Official, I’m a natural leader. I like to lead by example. You can learn a lot just from watching the way I move.

2. Where are you from? And what affect does that have on your music?

Smiles Official: The bottom, I’m from a place named Cutler Ridge, down south in Dade County; Miami, FL. I tell the story about the average hustler from my hood, similar to the way Biggie Smalls did.

3. What was highest and lowest point in your career?

Smiles Official: My lowest point was when someone very close to me robbed me for everything I had to my name and as a leader I had no answer for my team as to how we were going to eat. I didn’t even know how I was going to feed myself. I stayed patient, prayed up, and climbed out that hole. The highest point of my career is right now and it’s gonna keep going up.

4. How do you separate your personal life from your music life and how does how does the music industry affect your personal life?

Smiles Official: I put my personal life on the back burner for my career. I won’t be happy until I achieve my goals. My personal life can wait, I rather be successful.

5. What project/track means the most to and which project/track are you proudest of?

Smiles Official: “I Got a Bag” is the record that inspired the project “¥€$” that I recently dropped. Everyone has said yes to the song since we dropped it. It continues to open doors for me.

6. How do you separate yourself from other artist?

Smiles Official: I stay in my own lane and my grind is on another level. I never stop. My music also has a very distinct and original sound. Can’t really compare or say I sound like anyone out right now.

7. Who do you feel is your biggest competitor?

Smiles Official: I’m not competing with anyone but myself. I want to see other artists from my city win the same way I want to win. There’s enough room for everybody to taste success.

8. What is the hardest part of the music industry?

Smiles Official: The hardest part of the music industry is bad business. A lot of people are out there to get you. They’ll take your money and not deliver on their promise. It makes it twice as hard, when this game is already hard as it is.

9. What are your thoughts on how the rap game has changed?

Smiles Official: I grew up on 90s Hip-Hop so I miss the classic sound, but I can’t knock the new school. I tried to combine the new style of music while still delivering a message.

10. Who or what has the biggest impact on your career?

Smiles Official: TI is my favorite rapper, but career wise Jay Z is my biggest influence, with him it’s more than just the music. It’s the way he did everything overall. Excellent role model for any young black entrepreneur.!

11. What can we look forward to seeing in the future from you?

Smiles Official: I got 2 or 3 albums sitting in the studio right now, so get ready for a whole lot of new music and visuals. If you sleeping on me you better wake the f*** up.
